fair go.
Producers: You are of course welcome to promote the voting, however, please don't advertise, promote or encourage voting for your specific beat. There
will be plenty of time after the voting closes to show off your work.
VOTING CLOSES 23RD AUGUST 2011
In addition to the voting done through this poll, The Optimen will be picking an "Artist's Choice" beat, and will touch base with the producer and
possible use at an upcoming live show!
Thanks to The Optimen we are please to offer up// Prizes - 1st Place: The Optimen Tshirts and CD pack. 2nd and 3rd Place: The Optimen CD Pack.
Also, I apologise that there is so much original beat spilling into the acapella for DATS (the third) verse - it will clearly effect people making
more sparse beats. That's just how he gets down in the booth - beat excessively loud and one headphone to the head only haha.
As we like to say at Space Ghost Studios - "That's DATS!"
Edit: I'm 6 tracks in now and I can honestly say, it's almost going to be a coin toss to pick a favourite. They've all been crazy good and showed
originality and innovation so far. So much talent in the A-U-S-T!

voted number 6 n wasn't surprised to see it's the most popular so far.
But jesus christ most of these are inspired and amazing, sound like the producers have always wanted to get on an optimen track and impress the shit
out of people. Mad start to this competition.
Was hard at first to differentiate between awesome beats in themselves and beats that augmented the mc's well.
Problems and dues I got em removed
Swallowed the truth and my tolerance grew
ridiculous amount of great beats, should be a really tough comp. Good on everyone that entered and gave it a shot, should have a great remix cd at the
end of this.

Haha! Oh man, I was really hoping I wasn't just going to get sick of listening to the same track at some point. But the entries have all been so
diverse and of such a high quality - I'm up to 30. Two more to go!
I've been scoring each track out of 10 to make a short list. It's not making it much easier either - hard to split them! Definitely have some
favourites though.

I shortlisted 4 beats and then decided on beat 9. i like how it completely changes the mood of the song but still works really well. the lyrics just
seem to connect to the instrumentation nicely. on another note number 6 may be hard to beat. top quality effort by all 30 who had a go

**RIGHTS - SOLITARY CONFINEMENT OUT NOW!!!** Feat. Paradox, Nate Deezy, Aero D, DJ Jamu and Chris Labs.
Only heard the first 6 so far but really nice work, can tell alot of time went into them. Need to set aside a good block of time to listen to the rest
soon haha.
1. Nice swing part with the kicks, sample has a good vibe just gets a bit repeditive, more of just a beat then a whole song tho.
2. Fun vibe with lots of sounds in there but still holding something it together. Tho cos of so much changing it up comes of sound like more of a mash
not a whole song.
3. Minimal beat, something different, vocals seem bit far back in the mix
4. Fairly simple yet solid beat. a bit more change up would of been nice but the piano sample sounds cool. The pause in the chorus seems like would of
been better just once imo.
5. Really heavey solid chilled track. Kick sort of stamps out the vocals a bit tho, but other wise nice progessive relaxed vibe.
6.Drums Slam pretty nicely with a really lazy sunday afternoon soulful feel. The vocals sound a bit far back in the mix, nothing really for the chorus
which would of been great and taken it to the next level.
7. rather happy vibe from the sample choice, maybe bit too much for my liking.
8.Grand Intro then too a simple yet cooling flowing beat. Not as heavey drum wise but that works well for this track, the beat has this urgancey that
works well with the vocals and theres a bit of a chorus to thumbs up.
9. Solid Drums with a heartfelt piano sample, nice change up 3rd verse and big drum roll ending, solid overall track well done.
10. Sounds like a clockwork orange sample creating this movie sound track epicness, certianly original.
11. Grittynees, with a big backing synth, crazy percussion, clear mix, just not my thing
12. Big Dubstep remix lots of knock in that kick some synthness madness all makes for a erie atmosphere. Cool Track.
13. Relaxed sample, with solid yet gritty drums, another sunday lazy track. Gets abit repeditive after a while.
Also, there are some dope beats down the bottom, peeps shouldn't sleep. Numbers 27 and 30 are hot but have less than half the plays of others.
Edit: Actually, as a suggestion, have you considered running this poll for a week, then after a week taking the top 6 beats and having a second round
of voting with just those beats?

I'm pretty happy with how I managed to mask that spill, was a bit of a challenge and I liked that. Not perfect, but did the job I think.
