I understand what you're staying but it's not really a feasible option.
Having a short list isn't going to work because ultimately someone is going to have to pick that short list, and that's not fair. And also adds
another level of delay, having three or four people having to listen to all the beats, then what if they don't all match up.. Plus as a producer why
would you bother chucking something up that might not see the light of day?
To be honest we give over a week for voting, if you listen to two or so a day you should be right. Plus reality is you'll know if you don't like a
beat and don't always need to listen to all 3 minutes.. It seems a lot of voters make their own short list and then give the short list beats another
good listen through, which I think is a great way to do it .
Anyway keep the ideas coming feel free to U2U me etc with any suggestions.
@reno
What you are suggesting only works at live beat battles. 1 on 1 with 10 rounds will make people lose interest very quickly.

Ya thats what I did, made my own little shortlist. Majority entrants only needed to listen to for 15 seconds
Suggested the shortlist option due to the fact a lot of people mentioned there being too many beats to sort through. This might make the voting a
little unbalanced as not everybody has time/patience.
Even though I am an entrant in this comp I still would've voted for the best song, regardless
Cool story short, good comp LJ. Looking forward to the next one
VOTE ONCE.
ALIAS VOTING WILL BE MONITORED AND WILL LEAD TO BEING DISQUALIFIED.
THIS IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST
NO FACEBOOK / TWITTER / ASKING YOUR MATES TO VOTE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC BEAT. THIS WILL LEAD TO BEING DISQUALIFIED.
LISTEN TO ALL BEATS
PLEASE LISTEN TO ALL BEATS. I KNOW THERE IS A LOT, TAKE YOUR TIME, VOTE HONESTLY.
VOTE FOR THE BEST SONG
YOU ARE NOT ONLY VOTING FOR THE BEST BEAT, BUT THE BEST OVER ALL SONG.
Voters: We ask simply to you vote fairly and honestly, a lot of time and effort has been put into these beats, and every single producer deserves a
fair go.
Producers: You are of course welcome to promote the voting, however, please don't advertise, promote or encourage voting for your specific beat. There
will be plenty of time after the voting closes to show off your work.
VOTING CLOSES 9th OCTOBER 2011

I liked number 4 the best, a Hip Hop beat for a HipHop site for a HipHop head, i understand Trill did well with the beat and went well with the 360
vibe so props to him and everyone else who entered great listening, but would have loved to see more Banging HipHop beats, so next round beat makers
get on your HipHop hats and do your thing!

tis a remix comp, but i do get what your saying, like going to a dnb gig and they play 3/4 dubstep, FARKOFF... but really the music speaks for itself
and people votes reflect this (i hope)
