Sietta | A Funky New Sound
Sietta is a fresh new duo hailing from Darwin, consisting of James Mangohig as Producer/instrumentalist, and singer Caiti Baker. The group makes
soul/blues drenched electronic hip hop and also love to break it down to a simple guitar and vocals.
The unique sound of Sietta could be attributed to their diverse musical backgrounds. James grew up in the church playing piano and then eventually
learnt bass as he was drawn to the groove it brought to music. After that it was a series of playing bass and screaming in heavy bands, but he always
found time for chilli peppers covers as it brought the funk out. As time progressed, James stated, "I started working with young people and was taught
pro tools by my bass lecturer at the time, this then lead to making beats and loving synths". [Read More]

Jane Tyrrell
It happens far too often, people live by self imposed preconceptions of what they can and cannot achieve in this life. What’s concerning about this,
is the fact that these ideas are complete nonsense. Any individual is capable of obtaining goals; all it comes down to is self belief, enthusiasm and
ambition. With these characteristics being used as a driving force, our possibilities truly are limitless.

design, architecture, fashion, silver screen and antiques, and transformed them into successful vocations. She is a music professional (Tyzzle),
graphic Designer (Etch) and Fine Artist (George) - achievements not hard to believe for someone who credits creative problem solving along with
contributing and engaging in society via visual communication and music, as the things that [Read More]

Mantra
To say that 2011 was a massive year for oz Hip Hop would be an understatement. The genre managed to grow to epic proportions, receiving radio play on
both Triple J and commercial stations, integrated its way into more music festivals and saw larger crowds showing their support at gigs. Many
attribute this to the likes of Drapht, 360 and Hilltop, but if you are a fan of the underground, you will know that one man is making waves of his
own. This man is Mantra. [Read More]
