Yeah the Melbourne footy media is a lot worse than it is here in Perth. The greater competition between media outlets in Melb pushes coverage more
towards a tabloid approach...a bit like what happens in the UK because of the sheer amount of newspapers and TV stations.
In Perth we just have the one daily paper and a Sunday paper so they don't have to outdo a competitor with crazier headlines or more outlandish
stories.
Even still, it is very easy to discern between quality reporting and tabloid reporting...no matter what field of news you are interested in.

Yeah I'd love to dude but thats the busines end of my own footy season so flying over to Melbs aint an option.

Gonna be one hell of a game. Pies ability to blanket Hawkins will be key...but Reid hasn't been in the best form.
Geelong will be massively fired up given that if they lose this and go 4-5 they will have to absolutely kill the rest of the season to finish top 4.
But, having said that, Collingwood will not suffer from lack of motivation with the GF loss fresh in their minds plus their precarious position in the
8.
