The Dockers desperately need a key forward. They had their best seasons when Pavlich played permanently inside 50m and kicked 60+ goals. But he
doesn't seem capable of that anymore.
Cloke's strong leading would straighten them up and his strength and aerial prowess would give them a crucial long target when the opposition's
defensive zone is already set.
If the Dockers have the cash to spare then why not? But, almost as importantly as a key forward they need to recruit a monster stoppage player a la
Swallow, Dangerfield, Priddis, Watson.

60. He is massively overrated, can't kick straight and nowhere near worth 1.1...

Gotta disagree with you. He would play deeper inside 50 if he suited up for the Dockers rather than the lead-up role he often does for the Pies.
He would also enjoy the wide spaces and perfect conditions at Subi Oval. I reckon he'd comfortably kick 60+ if the Dockers played him at full forward.
I agree he isn't worth $1 million a year on the open market. But I reckon he's almost worth that to the Dockers, who arguably suffer from a lack of a
key forward more than any other team in the comp.
The Dockers need to do something drastic to give them a chance of making the top 4, and hence the GF, next season. After next year, their 3 most
important players - Sandilands, Pavlich and McPharlin - will be finished and there is no one on their list anywhere near good enough to cover for them
once they're gone.

Yeah for sure. To be honest I don't think he'll be going anywhere.
Given Dawes' poor form this year (speaking of overrated players look no further than him) the Pies will not want to lose their gun forward.
They'll offer him $800,000+ a year and I can't see him going to a shit club and turning his back on being part of a potential dynasty at Collingwood.

GWS claim they aren't interested, he's nowhere near worth what Fremantle are apparently offering either.
Some random told me yesterday Cloke wont be leaving coz his mum goes for collingwood, yep, whatever.
Truth be told unless your players are willing to take pay cuts to stay together as a potential premiership winning group then the loyalty at your club
is fucked. Hats off to the players of Geelong and Hawthorn that have done this.

brisbane narrowly defeating west coast last sunday has gotta go be one of the best games this season so far. during the fourth quarter it was footy in
its truest form, both teams neck to neck and drilling extra needed goals one after the other to keep ahead on the scorboard. coming from perth i
support the eagles all the way but commend brisbane being able to take away away the game in the last 3 miunutes. on par with richmonds latest
performance, eagles have proven themselves as the team with the most backbone, it sucks because of key player injuries leaving them out for weeks but
thats merely a hiccup. nicoski and kennedy being back in time for the finals just means extra calibre west coast should use come finals time. their
consistency outweighs any other team in the comp atm. until freo win a premiership they'll always remain the laughing stock of the afl.
[edit] just had to add on that last bit. before ross lyon both previous coaches (connerly and harvey) have been downright sore losers. hiring ross
lyon was a wise choice..

Great win by the Dockers.
It should have taught the coaching panel two important lessons:
1. Jon Griffin is a far superior ruckman to Zac “Weakling” Clarke and should be the automatic back up to Sandilands. Griffin rucked solo for
almost the entire game in heavy conditions against one of the in-form big men of the comp in Ivan Maric and racked up 43 hit outs and a crucial goal.
Clarke would have got monstered by Maric.
2. Pavlich should play deep forward for 100% of the time, every single game. Granted, he is pretty good in the midfield, but he is far more valuable
as a forward. The Dockers have no one else who can kick bags like he does. So why waste him in the midfield? His six goals were then difference
between the side.

^ yeah, Pav was BOG, and that goes a long way to them winning. Dominant when he wants to be.
Hawks might struggle today, but them losing Boak makes up for Jordan Lewis, who have both been good leaders on the field this year.
Every game at Football Park seems to be a struggle for us...
PS. Sydney on top, and what happened to the great pretending Bombers? sheeesh, they nearly stole it!
