yet another vestax mixer question.

Has anyone ever had a problem with the sound levels on their mixer?

For instance, the problem I am having at the moment is the left channel is quieter then the right for some reason, even though the balance and everything is leveled. When I record from my 1200 thru my 05 to my pc, the difference between the left and right output levels is about 2db, whereas when i just hook the deck to an amp and output it through that and then record, the difference between the left and right channels is 0.5-0 db. That's where it should be!

Looks like this baby's in for some servicing! I knew I shouldn't have trusted the display model.

I don't think your getting this because you chose to take home the display model.

As far as I know, there was a batch of 05's that were "faulty" or some shit. I read alot of posts on other boards from people with fucked up channel levels/ faders.

So yeah, just wanted to let you know that your not, by any means, alone on this one. I'm not sure what you can do... maybe take to to a techi?

heh nah man, BJ's. They got piss poor service there as well, I waited 45mins to be served, no shit. At least their prices are half decent.

I've come to the conclusion that it actually isn't my mixer, but my 1200. I tried another turntable, on both phono inputs and it works fine, no problem whatsoever between the left and right channel. Looks like im taking my 1200 back instead.
