The thing with a guy who is robbing people of pizza is, sooner or later that guy is going to find himself in a whirlwind of feces.

Ive spent most of life working in Youth Care where most of the kids engage in the stupid behaviours mentioned in this thread.
It's surprising how quickly a lot of them curb their behaviours when they're on bail conditions or have felt serious consequences for their actions.
Doesn't always happen, but if the kids are switched on enough and have the right support at home; it can snap them in line.

Reminds me of a situation in Alice Springs a few months ago, but this one was a bit more hectic.
This guy was walking home from the pizza shop with (you guessed it) a pizza and a group of about 12 - 15 kids rolled him for his wallet/phone etc and
fully bashed him unconcious, they walked away then came back five minutes later and grabbed his pizza too. Was so harsh it was kinda funny, it's as if
they walked off then thought, "hey, actually I'm hungry, better go back!"
I think you did the right thing, one thing that puzzles me though, if they kinda had you stuck where you had to give them what they asked for, why did
they just ask for the pizza and not your wallet/phone?
Further to that, if they wanted your wallet/phone would you have handed it over or would this be enough for you to strike back?

For most kids in the real world, reporting pizza getting taken off them to the police would make their lives a lot worse, believe me.

I think sometimes the problem with youth workers is, the world they live in and the world the kids live in are actually quite different worlds. I
understand the job of a youth worker is to sometimes show kids a different way and open their eyes to the options available. I had a 'youth worker'
type once who told me to stop listening to rap because it would rot my brain and this is no word of a lie, he is now a Woman.

Haha yes I agree, a lot of Youth Workers are below par, I agree with that. It's a shame but is to be expected with low public funding and an easy
application process. There are however some very good youth workers, and for the kids that are lucky to have them, it can really help them in changing
their behaviours if the right consequences and support is orchestrated.

Do people actually use that word? 'mugged'. Means robbed right!?
He got stood over by teenagers for his pizza, he didn't want to give it up, but they stood over him so he did. Same fuckin thing isn't it!?

You deserved to get mugged for being in St. Albans and eating something that wasn't spanish chicken or Hong Kong Needle Bar.
For shame.
