It is a pretty stupid question.

My reason they are both equally good in their own right &
both equally shit in others.

"Motherfuckers know who's the best,
If it ain't Fat Joe, then it must be Lord Finesse"

Finesse by a county mile, but I rate Fat Joe's first 2 albums pretty highly. Finesse is just an all-round great emcee and incredible producer.

As for suggestions that Lord Finesse is in any way "shit" - I've seen Finesse live a few times, and he's always been dope - a good mix of tracks from throughout his career, plus jumping on the decks for some juggling. What was so bad about his Sydney show?

Joe was solid as fuck [no pun intended] back in the day with that funky latina style.

These days, yeah nah, but most of the shit back in the day still stands up.

Did anyone in this thread actually go to this show?

I went to see him bust out some rhymes, He barely said two words to the audience.
So I thought okay he will just be letting loose on the vinyl, He didn't display any finger technique
whatsoever. he literally spun records for an hour & a half & walked out. I am not even a dj & I display
more technique when I jump on my vinyl.

I don't care what anyone says in his defense. I love him, have since I was like 12 & was really disappointed.

Its okay I am used to it, Our favorite artists coming out to do a show & there clearly just here for the
promoters cheque not for the fans who have supported them, display a less than half-assed effort and go home.

Fat Joes whole career is based on capitalizing off other people. Check what the original Terror Squad members have to say about him. Fat Joe can eat a fat one.

Hang on. This was a DJ set, right? You went expecting him to rhyme. No wonder you were disappointed. But you can hardly say his legacy is damaged because you had unrealistic expectations.

As for whether he displayed "technique" or not - I assure you, he's got skills, but sometimes in a club environment, cutting, juggling isn't always the go.

Yeah the Sydney show was a DJ set. They only paid him to DJ. We're lucky he did the verses that he did.

He even said "next time y'all motherfuckers tell the promoter to pay me if you wanna hear Finesse rhyme".

Picture Compton on acid, then throw a computer at it.

" Finger technique" ha! This fucking guy....

The way this was promoted, They never advertised wether he was rhyming or doing a dj set, so I just hoped, expected him to be rhyming.
As for your statement about "Finger technique" literally all he did was play records & cross fade between them, no scratching, no nothing.
Like I said I literally had to walk out.

The punters were so bored we all ended up in a brawl close to the end of his set.
If Wrighty was there he would remember the fight.
