^^^ Having spent a fair bit of time in India I’m pretty accustomed to extreme poverty. Not being a chick should keep me out of the crosshairs of
amorous sherpas.
Later that year as Ronedog nursed his pounded arse hole back to health in a Nepalese mountain shanty...

I spent just over 2 weeks in Nepal in 2010.
Few days in Kathamndu, couple in Pokhara and a fair bit in the Annapurna region (up out of pokhara)
Pokhara is dope, alot more relaxed than Kathmandu. Kathmandu is pretty full on with begging/pollution and shit.
Try and get up into the rural communities/integrate with em cos that was the best part.
Translation - Dad and Mum walked on either side of me when we left the hotel.

rone, a mate of mine just spent a month trekking in Nepal. Loved the trekking, hated the rest. Overpriced everything, scam a minute, filthy towns. A
lot like India I guess, though more expensive.
holy shit is that a preview post function on my quick reply?
yes, yes it is.

If you can, try to do like a community project in a town where you can stay a while and involve in it, get to know some local cunts and kick back with
the kids.
Easily the best part of my trip.
I went Annapurna region, about an hour drive from Pokhara, then 2-3 days hike and it's fucking sick. no cars, noise, pollution etc. just a tiny
village where we worked in teh secondary school.
Bonus 54 with kids (no spotted)

My experience in Nepal is similar to what's been mentioned, and I was there (shudder) more than 10years ago.
Trekking was good, I was in the same area as 54 and did a 13 day trek up the Kaligandaki to Muktinath and back a slightly different way.
If given a choice to go back to Nepal or back to Laos I would go Laos. They are both dirt poor and have their fair share of wanker tourists, but off
the beaten track, quiet and beautiful things seemed harder to find in Nepal. You do have to go to the country towns to find it. And 54 is right, give
something back - I taught English to some refugee Tibetan monks and helped them with repairs at the monastery.
while we're talking about nepal*, a woman just walked into our office with a tray of 30 big fuck off fresh donuts and gave them to us cause my partner
in crime in the IT room helped her with something on her home pc.
*this has nothing to do with nepal, but i assume they like donuts as much as anyone else.
