Just got the hang of my MPC less than a week ago after switching to the free jjos, love the workflow and everything about it now. Will be using it
pretty much exclusively from now on.
Posted a thread not too long ago for my beats on here but have pretty much forgotten all about most of them since changing from software to hardware.
Might reflip some of those samples on the beast
Short set of the beats I've made on it so far, will keep adding them to the set as I make them, so should be plenty a week or two from now.
Some stuff I'm trying to work on like using less reverb on the snares/hats, and obviously I'll eventually need to track out properly instead of just
recording the whole thing straight from the MPC. And some of these could be more cohesive but I was just itching to get at least a first version of
them done after spending hours on them (though the process is getting quicker and quicker to get the crux of a beat down now that I've gotten used to
it).
Also, feel free to have a go at flipping this sample that I used on the 'History Loop' beat, I chopped this loop from it ages ago... Would be
interested to hear how others might flip it. http://www.sendspace.com/file/ilgbyy
My name is Renz!
It\'s just whenever I try and register as that it\'s already fucking taken so I\'m constantly having to chuck in \"oner\" or
\"one\" or \"onez\" etc.. because I have no imagination.
Cheers Resonator and Renz! Glad you guys are feeling it
Made this slightly revised version of an old beat (from early 2010) about a week ago so thought I'd up it, pretty much the same as the old version
except layered the drums with some other sounds that didn't come from the original break.
And another remake of an old beat (from 2009) on a more synthy tip than the others in this thread.
Recently found a dozen or so old projects that I still have most of the components of so will probably revise a few more soon.
Just made this today, well it's actually the 4th version of this beat, always hated the drums on the previous versions and couldn't seem to get them
sounding decent till today when I just started it all over again.
The sample on History Loop is my favorite, i like that guitar. The bass on Vega sounds good to me. Cold Blud is just a sick beat lol, i like the
variation with samples.

Cheers guys, glad you're feeling them... Was bored as fuck this morning so put together this mix of (dark sounding) beats I've made over the years (a
few of these are 4-5 years old but most are more recent).
Some of it is just weird interlude type shit without drums or anything, included cos it suited the tone. Will probably take it down soon enough as
it's 30 mins long which is 25% of my total upload minutes haha.
^ that one was already posted here under a different title but just reupped it the other day.
Oh and this one is pretty much just an homage to the Masta Ace track Da Grind, as it samples the same track without really flipping it much. Made this
beat a few weeks back the day my mum found out her friend had died so it was mostly just to take my mind off of shit at the time... and I'd been
obsessed with the original track for weeks so it felt like a fitting tribute for lack of a better term.
