Cheers Gex...do you mean, adjust the pitch of the entire sample track, rather than cutting a slice and then pitching? Im a self-taught invalid with FL
n barely understand the basics...step sequencer, piano roll, playlist, and i can utilise most plugins, but in terms of the process, im more than
likely a little backwards in my approach, unorthodox to say the least...n before anyone starts putting shit on FL, get fucked; its epic!!!

hey man, got a few FL pointers i figured out while using the program.
dont use slice x. anything that chops your samples means your not using your ears.......right click a sample and click edit, it opens up edison, you
only need to highlight the chop you want to make then on the far right in edison, there is a drop and drag feature.
Open up FPC (a pad simulation thing) and edison together, highlight chop in edison, use drop and drag feature and drop it on a pad in FPC - now you
get ADSR control as well as pitch and layer. you'll only need to assign each pad to a suitable key on a keyboard or whatever.
You can set the pads to cut each other off here too.
id say load up the samples you want in FPC, play with pitch, play with your adsr settings until they sound right together, then RECORD in your chop
playing, dont paste them in the playlist.
you can always move recorded midi data after, but this way your dealing with midi not audio and it becomes non destructive.

I never used fl But say you have a drum loop or programmed drums going 88bpm and you have a piano loop going at 108bpm if you slow it down 4 semitones
(1semitone = 5bpm aprox) it will be roughly in time. Then I'd chop the piano notes so I had more control. Keep the pitching to semitones though cos
otherwise when you go to play bass or whatever it will be out of tune.

I've sampled Impeach the President by the Honey Drippers and have a pretty nice working loop...and Eddie Bo - Hook and Sling...they're both workable
and audibly aesthetic with lyrics on em

The other thing is the ultimate beats are really a starting point there all really well known and used samples so if you pitch stuff up and down you
won't have ppl re ignoring them as much.

Yeh definitely needs lots...my main concern was the time stretching. That and the pitch...is the loop smooth enough though? Does the pitch transition
of the synth *sound off-putting, or does it sound ok?
I'll give the fucker steroids tho bruz...
