hiltop hoods in herald sun

just thought i'd give yas a heads up on the article on the hiltop hoods in the 'ei' section of the sunday herald sun.
small article/intervew with suffa. good to see them getting mad exposure.

whilst on the topic, yesterday i ran into a fair few cunts from school and they were asking me if i knew of the hiltop hoods. they love them. its funny coz these are the cunts who gave me shit for 3 years for liking australian hip hop.

Australian Hip-Hop is getting mentioned in tha papers by tha shitloads in Mel-burn: Nation's Australian Hip-Hop capital...

TZU, 1200 Techniques, Little G, Weapon X and Ken Hell, Pegz, Reason, Bias B, DJ Selekt and J-Red(LC) coped some dope reviews in tha Herald-Sun, long or jus' a mention... Mainly briefly thru Thursday's Herald-Sun...

Too much Terror and Politics are keeping me from tha papers, while Requiem, Lyrical Betrayal and MC Justice were tha rising dope MCs that had some short mention in tha papers in tha past 12 months...

Tha Aussies are now bloomin' so hard that tha US MCs are at thier doom!!! Hoping to get that far, however it's all good that "Hilltop Hoods" are digging in it for Australian Hip-Hop!!!

Can't wait to get there... Dope stuff...

2 words

BANDWAGON JUMPERS

as the scene grows theres gunna be more ppl that are gunna juimp on the bandwagon, hence the scene growing.
So get used to cunts listning to one song/album and claiming they have paid their dues are "part" pf the ozzy hiphop scene.

All you vets and long time listners, you know in yourself you have been showing support for this culture for years and years to come, so as long as you know that, dont let all these newbs bother you,
it just means bigger and better releases to accomadate for a bigger and better scene

so be positive mutha fuckas

also cheers for the heads up on the article coarse, i'l read tonight

so what?

when i started highschool i was copping shit for being into hiphop then 4 years later everyone who was giving me shit was listening to wu-tang and mobb deep....now theyre probably listening to hilltop.....its a natural cycle and it happens to everyone and everything in some way shape or form ..who fucken cares....

sounds like some of you want people to come up to you and say something like: "oh im so sorry i ever dissed your taste in music because now i like the same shit and i totally recognise that you were into it before me - heres 20 full sick cunt points for you"

not gonna happen.....

one day your thinking yoru a sick cunt for listening to their music and the next day some gimp is whistling their tune.....

this sort of shit annoys you when your a teenager....honestly i woulda thought most of us have moved on to more important things.....

Hmm....I wonder what the exchange rate is when converting full sick cunt points to Mass Money...they're about as important as each other.

Anyway yeh I tend to agree with Prontoid though. Although it sux that there are a lot of "bandwagon" cunts, it can't really be avoided and it's good for hilltops getting some reward for over a decade of dedication to the art. Some of those bandwagon jumpers may be avid hiphop followers in a few years too...everyone's gotta start somewhere 'cause so little real hip hop is delivered to the masses. If hilltops' get more heads involved I'm all for it. What I don't wanna see is a lot of dumb cunts hearing aussie hiphop and thinking they can just pick up a mic and talk shit over some tinkerbell beat (to quote Guru) without learning their craft. That's the danger.
