Official Studio Pics thread - Post photos of your studio here
This thread will be topped, so will always be visible. But rules do apply, so make sure to READ ALL RULES AND GUIDELINES BEFORE
POSTING.
**** RULES & GUIDELINES FOR POSTING ****
1: Studio pics only. Do NOT write replies here. Any replies will be deleted. If you need to ask someone a question about their setup, U2U
them. Why no replies? These threads can become huge. If you just want to view photos of everyone's studio, it's a pain having to scroll
through a whole bunch of text only posts, most of which are usually things like 'nice keyboard', or 'how much did that cost?'.
2: Maximum 4 photos per post. This is to enable the page to load quicker. 4 photos should be enough to cover all angles.. Control area, vocal
booth, instruments, dj setup etc.
3: Maximum photo width is 1024 pixels wide. This is to keep the thread looking tidy, so those with an average 1280 x 1024 screen res won't
have to scroll to the side.
4: One post only per person. If you update your studio any time and want to add newer photos here, do NOT add a second post. Instead, edit
your current post. Delete your older photos if your total number of photos add up to more than 4 and replace them with the newer ones. This will also
help keep the overall size of the thread to a minimum
5: If possible provide a detailed description of what gear you're using, why you're using that gear, and any other information you'd like to
add about your studio or the room you're in. Even the sort of music you're recording. Sample based, keyboard based, non hip hop etc. The more
information you provide, the less U2U's you'll mostly likely receive from others asking questions about your gear.
**** ANY POSTS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES WILL BE EITHER EDITED OR DELETED ****
If you don't know how to post pics, click on the 'BB Code' link at the side. Your photos will need to be stored somewhere on the net.
Ok, I'll get this started with a photo and details of my setup. ::: UPDATED :::
Current setup:
Mackie Onyx 1620. Brilliant desk! Very nice sounding eq, low noise, firewire interface, and well constructed.. Korg Poly 800 synth.. Had this for
years.. The analog filters still sound fat.. warmer and brighter than any plugin. Waldorf Pulse monosynth.. Had this for over a decade too. Minimoog
style filter.. Micromoog synth.. A classic, except the modulation is broken. Had this about 12 years. Intel Dual Core 2 e6600 homebuilt PC with 2gb
800mhz ram, 320gb system drive, 800gb raid drive (2x400gb), Quadro FX560 graphics card, running Vegas 7, Nuendo 2, E-MU Emulator X2, Acid 6, etc..
Some old effects that still sound great.. Boss RV70, Ensoniq DP/2 and Yamaha REV100... Slide out keyboard - Roland PC 200, decks and mixer.. NS10M
monitors, Dell 24" 1920x1200 monitor for editing HD video, Tandy switch boxes, and the MPC500 with a stand I made for it to keep it level with the
desk. Very flexible setup with the Mackie Onyx connected to the PC via it's firewire card. The noise floor is practically zero.
