It's a bit different....The hardware definately has more bite and musical compression when you start hitting it hard. With bass guitar there is no
comparison
Gotta give it to UA though...the plugs are dope and have very similar sound.
You got any new bits of gear??

HAHA!
Thanks guys for the monitor heads-up!
I'm completely aware of the audio-no-no going on with the said monitors! They are just what I use to listen to music and shit and they are only an old
Nicole sound system I pinched from my Dad!
I use headphones when beatmaking, Pioneer SE-305's that were brand new and unused from my Dad!
If I had the room I'd arrange them either side of the monitors and atleast around shoulder height!
I just like the look of them there too, better than the wall, back of drum kit and wires/cables!
I'm such a noob so thanks for the heads up anyways!

Hey Sarma,
Is it a good idea to be hanging headphones over your monitor?
I thought speakers contained magnets and magnets + electrical items = no no?

Hey Dazed, you probably don't need full on acoustic foam (bass trapping is going to help more in that room than foam anyway) but you should look into
something to deaden the reflections in that corner you're recording in, corners tend to be the boxiest part of the room and that's definitely not what
you're chasing - have you considered a portable booth like a reflexion filter or a mic. thing?

@Phatchance. Yeah I know, corners aren't really the best. If/when I record I normally move it to the centre of the room... it's just a bit annoying
having it there normally. I plan to cop one of the Mic Things or SE Reflexion filters after chrissy when/if I have some cash left over. I can't really
see much of a difference in the two??

The SM Mic Things tend to create a bit more of a low end boost because the material is denser and reflects more direct reflections, the reflexion
filters are better made but personally they both do the job fine. Really you should just buy some acoustic foam and make your own, much cheaper and
usually better because of surface area
I use a Mic Thing (they come with a stand which is good)
