Butter Beats is one of Queensland’s most renowned record stores, known for its wide range of collectable records, books, figurines, memorabilia, and most relevant to our interests, its paint and Hip Hop stock.

Butter Beats began in the summer of 1998 and has been a home for many graffiti artists and musicians since, including current employee’s Dno & DJ Katch from The Resin Dogs.

Recently Will Johnstone, a film maker created a Documentary about Butter Beats and spoke with Jason aka Kasino to find out more about why they do what they do and why they started.

Although its duration may be short at three minutes, Will managed to capture some of the great art around Queensland and helped to give props to the dedicated and passionate team over at Butter Beats.
